The same basket, the same questions, every time.
I try to order the same five-item basket in every shop: a main line, a fluorocarbon leader, a pack of jig heads, a pack of soft baits and a hard bait. When an item is not available, I order the closest substitute I can find and say so in the review. I pay for everything myself and I ship everything to southern Italy, so shipping costs and delivery times are always measured from the same place.
Stock
How much of the planned basket was actually buyable, and whether the site's stock information matched reality.
Price
Basket total compared with other European shops for the same or equivalent items.
Shipping
Real cost to Italy, free-delivery thresholds and how clearly they are stated at checkout.
Speed
Days between payment and delivery, carrier used and whether tracking worked throughout.
Customer service
How fast and how clearly the shop answers the same set of pre-purchase questions.
Packaging
Condition on arrival, protection used and whether items arrived in their original packs.
Final result
A single score out of 5 that weighs the whole buying experience, not just the gear. Shops I did not complete an order with stay at '- / 5'.
