Voblery.eu: the basket I filled and never paid for.
This is a different kind of review. I never completed the order — and the reason I stopped is exactly the kind of thing you should know before placing an international order.
No purchase was made. Everything below is about the browsing and checkout experience — stock, pricing and shipping — not about delivery or the gear itself. I simply did not have enough confidence to press the button.
First impression
The homepage opens with a friendly hook: register and get 5% off your first order. The brand list is genuinely good for anyone into light spinning and light rock fishing — TICT, Gosen, Bait Breath, all the Japanese names I actually use. On paper this should have been an easy second review.
The problems start the moment you try to build a real basket.
While browsing, I also ran into several product and category pages that simply failed to load — blank screens, broken layouts or timeouts. On the day I wrote this, parts of the site looked and felt like a tackle shop that had been left unattended. That first impression matters when you are about to send money abroad.
Too much of the basket was unavailable
I went looking for my usual five-item test basket. Product after product came back the same way: listed, photographed, priced — and out of stock.
The TICT Flopper Bros 55 hard bait, the exact lure I wanted, was listed at €9.50 and marked unavailable. That was the hard bait I had planned the whole basket around.
The Gosen Answer Eging FC Leader was not strictly out of stock, but it was only available as a pre-order. That still breaks the basket for a quick turnaround.
Where an item was in stock, the choice had usually collapsed to a single colour. One colour is not a range. For soft plastics, colour is half the reason you buy the packet.
What I could actually add to the basket*
Out of five planned items, only three were buyable. This is what the cart looked like before I walked away:

The product prices themselves are competitive — the Gosen braid alone is meaningfully cheaper than what I paid in Greece. That is the frustrating part: the value is there, and then the shipping line lands.
The shipping threshold that does not match the catalogue
On the day I checked, the shipping information was inconsistent. One page quoted free delivery for European customers on orders over 200 EUR, while other parts of the site suggested a 50 EUR threshold. I am using the 200 EUR figure because that is what the shipping conditions page displayed, but the discrepancy itself is another reason to pause before checking out.
That is the number that matters. My cart total was €60.37, so I never expected free shipping — but the threshold itself is the problem when the shop only had three of the five items I needed in stock. Reaching €200 of available goods would mean buying multiples of the same lure or adding products I did not want, which is not how a normal customer fills a basket.
The cart charged €22.92 for DPD Kurier Europa. Adding that to €37.45 of tackle is a 61% surcharge, and it turns a competitive product price into an expensive order. The real issue is not that the free delivery did not apply; it is that the threshold is so high, and the out-of-stock shelves make it almost impossible to reach naturally.
A shop with this many unavailable items should either lower the free-delivery threshold or be upfront that most small tackle orders will pay courier rates. As it stands, the shipping conditions and the catalogue feel out of step with each other.
Why I closed the tab
I never contacted customer service, and I never placed the order — so I cannot tell you how they answer emails or how they pack a parcel. What I can tell you is why I stopped. A basket with several unavailable products, single-colour listings, pre-order buttons and a 200 EUR free-delivery threshold that the available catalogue cannot reasonably reach does not inspire confidence when you are sending money abroad. It felt off, and when a shop feels off, I do not pay.
To be fair: none of this proves the shop is dishonest. It may simply be a small operation with supply problems and a clumsy promotion. But trust is the product an online tackle shop is really selling, and this one did not sell it to me.
What the shop got right
- Strong brand selection for light rock fishing on paper
- Competitive product prices, especially Gosen line
- Clear specs, SKUs and photos on product pages
- 5% welcome discount for new accounts
What I would improve
- Too many out-of-stock products still listed as normal
- Colour choice reduced to a single option on soft baits
- Reconcile the 200 EUR free-delivery threshold with the actual stock available
- €22.92 for DPD delivery made this small order difficult to justify
- Add stock filters so you can browse only what ships today
Bottom line
Voblery.eu has the catalogue of a shop I would like to buy from and the checkout of one I do not. If they restock, open up the colour ranges and align the free-delivery threshold with what a normal customer can actually add to the cart, I will come back and run the full five-item test properly. Until then, this is a browse, not a buy.
