Gosen Answer Ajing X4 PE 0.3 — European price & shop comparison
This is the line I personally fish. Below are the European shops where I found it listed, with the prices observed on 1 September 2026. All prices are the plain listed price, with no discount codes, no coupons and no member pricing applied, and they exclude shipping.
Why this is, by far, my favourite light game line
I used braids from many other brands for about fifteen years. About six years ago I tried the Gosen Answer Ajing X4 for the first time, and everything changed. For thin diameters, Gosen is the best braid maker I have used, and the PE #0.3 is the line I re-buy without thinking about it. This is the best line for light game, without a doubt.
- Genuinely round and consistent in diameter, so it runs silently through small guides.
- Thin enough to cast a 1 g jighead with control, yet strong enough for the surprise fish in the rocks.
- Almost no memory after a full day of casting — no coils, no wind knots piling up.
- Holds knots very well against a thin fluorocarbon leader.
- The colour fades with sun and salt, but the performance does not follow it down.

Conclusion: where I would buy it today
For the same 150 m spool of Gosen Answer Ajing X4, the highest price recorded here was about 59% above the lowest price in this comparison. That is the entire reason this index exists.
On listed price alone, Ajing Store (🇵🇹 Portugal) was the cheapest at €21.70 on 1 September 2026. It is also the shop I have ordered from and reviewed myself, so it is my practical recommendation as well.
Shipping changes the picture, so always add the courier cost to your own country before deciding. A spool that is €4 cheaper but €12 more to ship is not a better deal.
